Our Best

A campsite. A family

A family holiday on the shores of Lake Garda where you can have fun in a friendly atmosphere while enjoying the full benefits of nature.

It is 1958. Franco Russo had married his beloved Adriana, a young chemistry graduate like himself. They both had great prospects for successful careers in one of the country’s large national companies. But Franco, who was also the son and the nephew of the owners of the land below Lazise, convinced his Adriana and uncle Gino to help him create (originally around a little wooden shack which would later become the bar and shop) the largest campsite on Lake Garda.    Number one: “Camping la Quercia”.

The years roll by and the campsite grows. The number of guests increases and services improve.

From generation to generation the campsite continues to evolve; with thanks to the cooperation of all the workers involved at every level of every sector. Our guests appreciate that it is the strong human element that is the real soul of our campsite.

Our location

We are situated in Lazise, directly by the lake, on the southeast shore of beautiful Lake Garda. The landscape offers great diversity including the lake itself, the valleys of  Valdadige and Valpolicella, the rivers Mincio and Adige and the mountains, Monte Baldo and Monte Lessini.

There are good connections by train or car to some of Italy’s best known cities such as Venice and Milan. From Verona station it’s also possible to reach Florence and Bologna in just 1 hour and a half by train.

The "green"

The campsite spreads over 20 hectares of parkland  with a vast variety of trees and flowers which bestow the sense of being immersed in a lush garden, right on the lake shore.

A 400 years old oak tree is located at the entrance of the campsite. The greenery extends into the distance until it is halted by a golden sandy beach and the glittering  waters of Garda – the largest lake in Italy.

Our iconic oak tree is one of the oldest in the country, and is officially recognised by WWF in a book documenting Italy’s monumental trees. It’s fitting that it has lent its name to the first star campsite on Lake Garda

Since 2001 “Camping la Quercia”  has been certified ISO14001 for environmental protection.

The sandy beach

With a surface of 6500 m2 La Quercia has the biggest beach on the whole of Lake Garda – and the only one with sand. The most important facilities are provided on the beach such as showers, and the toilets are nearby. During high season the Tiki Beach Bar offers cold drinks, ice creams and snacks.

As you wade from the beach into the lake, the water deepens very gradually making it highly suitable for families with small children. Outside of the area designated for swimming there are reservable buoys for mooring.

A friendly atmosphere

A professional, multi-lingual staff will welcome you with a smile and is always ready to help with every possible question or request. You can purchase tickets for all sorts of outings at the Reception at the entrance. Our staff know all of the various facilities on site but are also ready with advice for excursions and trips to the surrounding area.

Some digital info-points have been installed at the entrance of the campsite and in various other areas where you can obtain useful information.

Even off-season when the campsite is closed, you can reach our office by phone or by e-mail: Monday to Friday from 09:00 – 12:00.

You will not only be impressed by the beauty of the greenery, but also by the care we take over the cleanliness you will find in all areas – from the beach to all other sectors of the campsite.

  • Our cleaning staff is engaged all day long in order to maintain our high standards of cleanliness
  •  A wash-dry machine is used to avoid the risk of slipping on a wet floor
  •  Once a week we carry out a special, disinfecting treatment of the walls and of the shower boxes.

  • The beach is cleaned and rolled every morning
  •  All the lanes of the campsite are regularly cleaned
  •  Both the drinking water and the water in the pools is regularly checked for purity.

The security

Since 2011 Camping la Quercia has been certified OHSAS 18001 for security.

In order to maintain security we have procedures to control the entrances; to regulate traffic inside the campsite; and procedures to prevent against, and combat in the case of, emergencies.

Some of our services:

HEALTH CARE: a doctor/paediatrician is present or on call. Equipment for first aid and DAE are located around the campsite.

over 300 fire extinguishers are located all around the campsite. A firefighting car is located by the reception. An emergency team is trained for firefighting.

Environmental protection

Since 2001 Camping la Quercia has been certified ISO 14001 for environment protection.

Our environmental policy aims to reduce the consumption of natural resources, noise and refuse production.

In 2015 we began a new separate waste collection system which we organize with specific staff and means. This has involved the creation of more collection points; providing all accommodation with 4 different containers for the separation of waste; door-to-door waste collection; the use of a hybrid dustcart.

The waste containers are next to the toilet buildings.

Waste collection points are located all over the campsite: pools, restaurants, shopping area, children’s playground, beach

Emplacement guests will be provided (by the Reception staff) with  4 special bags for separate waste collection: glass, paper, plastic, organic waste.

By the shopping aerea and the toilet buildings Nr. 3 and 5, 3 Eco-compactors for the plastic waste has been installed. For each bottle you recicle, you get a point. The more point you get, the more gift you win!
